ARTIST
Pauline creates her drawing and painting using several media and enjoys working in acrylics, watercolours and colouring pencils. She is also a skilled felt-maker and creates felted jewellery, bags and scarves.
Pauline Lavery was born and brought up in Dundee. She attended Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Dundee, graduating in Fine Art (Sculpture).
From there she trained as a teacher at Dundee College of Education before embarking on a career teaching Art and Design in primary and secondary schools. Since leaving teaching Pauline is taking this opportunity to focus on her own work and teaching workshops for adults.

"My Dundee" a talk about my Dundee paintings and the links to Dundee history.
"Sumi-e" a talk about Japanese painting; its origins and methods. Includes a demonstration of Japanese brush painting techniques.
"Sculpture" a talk which includes different forms of sculpture and methods employed. Includes a demonstration of making low relief sculpture.
"Making Felt" this talk includes the origins of felt making and different methods of making felt. Includes a demonstration of wet felting.
